Code Beta

Well, if you are a new but enthusiastic coder waiting for an easy opportunity to show off your coding skill, this is the right place to do it. Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology presents Code Beta which is a competitive programming contest for novice coders.

So, what are you waiting for? Start preparing for the light-weight coding competition, you surely do not want any position less than the top…………

Task

You will be given 5-6 problems to solve within 3 hrs.

General Rules and Regulations

1. College students of 1st year and 2nd year are only allowed. School students can also participate in it.
2. Maximum of 2 members are allowed per Team.
3. Inter-college teams are allowed.
4. The participants will have to bring their College ID card, failing which they will not be allowed to take part in the contest.
5. Same participant cannot be present in two or more teams.
6. There is no restriction for the number of teams participating from the same institute.
7. There will be an onsite prelim and an onsite Final for this event. Teams that qualifies the onsite prelims are only eligible for the Finals.
8. Each Team will be allotted with a single computer only.
9. Participants are not allowed to use books, internet, removable drives or mobile Phones and similar aids during the contest.
10. The contest will be held on CodeChef platform (www.codechef.com). At least one member of the Team should have a codechef account. Teams can use any of the programming languages supported by codechef.
11. No offline IDEs will be provided. Teams will have to use the online IDE provided by codechef.
12. The Team can be present in any one of the onsite prelims slot.
13. There will be only one Final round. The event coordinators will not be responsible if the qualified teams do not turn up on time.
14. In case of any unsolicited events, the decision of the coordinator is final.

4. The participants will have to bring their College ID card for verification & identification.
5. Same participant cannot be present in more than one team.
6. There is no restriction to the number of teams participating from the same institute.
7. There will be only one round. The team finishing at the top will be declared winner.
8. Each team will be allotted a single Computer only.
9. Participants are not allowed to have access to books, internet, external drives or mobile phones or any such similar aids during the contest.
